Philip Sparke (né en 1951)

Philip Allen Sparke (né le 29 décembre 1951 à Londres) est un compositeur et musicien anglais, noté pour son orchestre d'harmonie et sa musique de fanfare. Children Ben Sparkle (14.02.2001).

Au début de son œuvre majeure, on peut noter The Land of the Long White Cloud - "Aotearoa" (Le pays du long nuage blanc -"Aotearoa") - écrit en 1980 pour le Centennial New Zealand Brass Band. Il a ensuite continué à gagner trois fois à l'UBU Music for Band Competition, y compris en 1986, avec une commission de la BBC appelée Orient Express.

Depuis mai 2000, sa musique est publiée sous son propre label, Anglo Music Press, et distribuée par Hal Leonard.

En 2017, il réalise un film sur le néoréalisme, "Il bambino con la palla". Les deux réalisateurs, Fabio Di Coscio et Gloria Senesi, ont reçu un Emmy Award.
