Honnêtement, pour moi c'est déconcertant (= le mot le moins musical de la langue française)
Laissez-moi mon Messiaen, on ne peut ni l'imiter, ni l'améliorer.

Il m'a été demandé d'écrire quelques mots sur ce compositeur japonais atypique, né en 1953.
Comme c'est la première fois ici, ce sera certainement un peu maladroit.


Sa première composition, "Threnody to Toki" (1980), a rencontré un succès mondial.C'est son unique composition atonale.

Comme malheureusement trop peu de compositeurs japonais contemporains, il fait souvent référence à la musique traditionnelle de son pays ;dans ce cas, elle côtoie des harmonies plus occidentales mais sans se fondre dans ces dernières.

Sa musique est souvent très fine , parfois ironique, colorée, toujours originale lorsque l'on a une vue d'ensemble de chaque oeuvre.

A ma connaissance, il a composé 7 concertos, 5 symphonies, de nombreux poèmes symphoniques, des oeuvres pour orchestre de chambre et pour instruments seuls, dont trois pour instruments traditionnels japonais.

Ce compositeur est en général bien considéré par les critiques de musique classique...sauf en France, soit parce qu'on ne peut le "classer", soit à cause de son physique peu avenant.( Je l'ai même vu traité de "grosse tapette" !!!-après tout, même Bruckner et Tchaikovsky ont écrit de jolies choses)

J'aime beaucoup sa musique, car elle n'a pas de "style", chaque nouvelle composition étant une découverte, différente de la précédente.

C'est ton droit le plus strict Et de toute façon, tu n'es pas seul au monde, loin de là (je connais un ancien du forum qui en est fan).

Au sujet du concerto pour guitare, c'est bof bof Je préfère Chikap avec ses oiseaux (qui ressemblent plus à des oiseaux que ceux de Messiaen )

Oui, il me semble qu'il était seulement un peu coincé mais bon, même s'il était homo, ça ne me poserait pas de problème (pârce qu'il ne s'est pas suicidé à cause de ça contrairement à Tchaikovsky).

Ce que je voulais dire, c'est que ces critères n'ont rien à voir avec la qualité de la musique qu'ils ont composée. Peut-être un peu l'inverse ?

Takashi Yoshimatsu (né en Mars 18, 1953) est un compositeur contemporain japonais de musique classique. Il est bien connu pour avoir composé le remake de 2003 de Astro Boy .

Takashi Yoshimatsu est né à Tokoy au Japon et, comme Toru Takemitsy - généralement reconnu comme le plus grand compositeur japonais de musique classique - il n'a pas reçu de formation officielle en musique.
Il a quitté la faculté de technologie de l'Université de Keio en 1972 et rejoint un groupe amateur appelé NDA (NOA dans la version anglaise) en tant que claviériste, promouvant la musique de Pink Floyd.
Il s'intéresse au jazz et au rock progressif et explore particulièrement les possibilités via la musique électronique.
Il était fan des 'Walker Brothers' et du groupe 'Ventures quand il avait 13 ans mais aussi déjà, dès 14 ans, les symphonies de Beethoven et Tchaikovsky le fascinaient.
Il a ensuite composé de nombreuses pièces avant de se faire un nom avec 'Threnody for Toki' en 1981.
Peu de temps après, la musique atonale le déçoit et il commence à composer libre dans un style néo-romantique, fortement influencé par la jazz, le rock la musique classique japonaise ; confirmant sa réputation avec ses 1985 concertos pour guitare.
A partir de 2007, il a composé 5 symphonies, 11 concertos, un pour chacun de ces instruments : basson, violoncelle, guitare, trombone, alto saxophone, soprano saxophone, ;un pour orchestre de chambre, un pour des instruments traditionnels japonais et deux pour piano (un pour la main gauche seulement et l'autre pour les deux mains). Il a également écrit plusieurs sonates et diverses pièces plus courtes pour des ensemble de tailles diverses.
Son «Atom Hearts Club Suites pour orchestre à cordes rend hommage au Beatles, Pink Floyd et Emerson, Lake & Palmer .
Les amateurs de Yoshimatsu aime son syle mélodique facile et sa capacité d'analyse des diffférents instruments alors que d'autres lui reprochent d'un travail confu et manquant de cohérence , tout simplement post-moderne.
La majorité de son travail est tonale et une grande partie ne contient que de simples et répétées progressions avec dans certains cas, la technique du pandiatonicism (?)
Souvent très abordables, ses harmonies en tierce sont suivies par des harmonies au au ton entier comme dans le premier mouvement de la Symphonie n ° 5 ou le premier mouvement de sa "Cyber Bird" Concerto, qui, en outre, fait usage de jazz atonale libre ou le dernier mouvement de son "Orion Machine" Concerto ou dans son saxophone Concerto "Albireo Mode").
Il a également publié quelques essais et synthèses sur la musique classique qu'il aime illustrer lui-même.

Takashi Yoshimatsu est un compositeur japonais né le 18 mars 1953 à Tokyo.

Comme Takemitsu, il n'a pas reçu de formation musicale formelle, et est donc considéré comme un autodidacte. En 1972, à la faculté de technologie de l'université de Keio, il rejoint, comme clavieriste, une équipe d'amateurs nommée "NOA" admirative de la musique de Pink Floyd. Il s'intéresse aussi beaucoup au jazz, au rock progressif et les nouvelles possibilités ouvertes par la musique électronique.
IL était fan des frères Walker et Ventures quand il avait 13 ans, puis les symphonies de Beethoven et de Tchaïkovski l'ont fasciné à l'âge de 14 ans. Depuis il compose des morceaux classiques et son nom a été connu grâce à sa pièce sérielle Threnody for Toki en 1981. Peu après, déçu par la musique atonale, il compose une musique néo romantique influencée par le jazz, le rock et la musique classique japonaise.
Jusqu'en 2004, Yashimatsu a composé 5 symphonies, 5 concertos (un pour chaque instruments : piano, violoncelle, guitare, trombone, saxophone), quelques sonates et pièces plus courtes pour ensembles de tous types. Ses suites Atom Hearts Club pour orchestre à cordes sont un hommage explicite aux Beatles, Pink Floyd, et Emerson, Lake and Palmer. Il compose actuellement la musique pour un remake de Astroboy.
